SB102 Bill Signing

On May 27th, Governor Hickenlooper signed into law a Senate Bill 102, which established a Mental Health Tax Check-off, allowing Colorado taxpayers to voluntarily contribution to mental health causes when they pay their annual income tax. I was proud to work on behalf of the Colorado Federation of Families and NAMI Colorado along with Senator Williams and Representative Todd to pass this bill.

Thanks for working hard for the underserved mentally ill. I am a psychiatric RN finishing my MSN to be a Nurse Practitioner. While I am still busy with school, (I graduate in May), I have appreciated your email updates about your activities. I plan to attend the caucus at Pamona High School, so maybe I’ll get a chance to say hello. I will be more available to volunteer for the Dems in the summer and up to the election in November.
    Thanks again,
